Personalities
- Hostun is known in France because of some historical personalities from the Hostun family . These include Camille d'Hostun de la Baume, duc de Tallard (1652–1728), general and marshal of France .
- Philippe Clave (1916–1996), French general and military governor of Paris from 1973 to 1975, also comes from the Hostun community.
- The Oblate priest Eugène-Casimir Chirouse (1854–1927), who was born in Hostun, worked as a missionary in Canada .
