Le Chalon is a French municipality with 211 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Drôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Valence and the canton of Drôme des collines (until 2015 Romans-sur-Isère-2 ). The inhabitants are called Chalonais .

geography

Le Chalon is located about 32 kilometers northeast of Valence on the eponymous river Chalon . Le Chalon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crépol in the north and north-west, Saint-Laurent-d'Onay in the north-east, Saint-Michel-sur-Savasse in the east, Geyssans in the south and Arthémonay in the west and south-west.
