Charpey is a French commune in the department of Drôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
geography
Charpey is located on the wide, fertile plain of the Isère estuary into the Rhone , at the foot of the Vercors Mountains. The municipality is located about twelve kilometers south of Bourg-de-Péage and almost 16 km east of Valence (as the crow flies). The municipal area of 15.48 km² consists mainly of fertile agricultural land, south of the main settlement there are also some forest areas. The village center is very picturesque and well preserved.
