Charlotte Ayanna

Charlotte Ayanna (* 25. September 1976 in San Juan , Puerto Rico as Charlotte Lopez ) is an American actress .

Life

Charlotte Ayanna's mother moved to Vermont in 1977 . She became mentally unstable and lost custody of the children. At the age of 17, Charlotte Ayanna was adopted. She won the Miss Teen USA title in 1993 , then graduated from the University of California .

Ayanna made her debut on the television series Weird Science in the mid-1990s . In the comedies No Night Stand (1997) and Telling You (1998), she appeared alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt . In the film drama Dancing at the Blue Iguana (2000) she took on one of the leading roles alongside Daryl Hannah , with Jennifer Tilly starring in one of the supporting roles . In the film drama Love the Hard Way (2001) she played the role of the student Claire , with whom the petty crook Jack ( Adrien Brody ) falls in love. For this role she won an award from the Festival International du Film d'Action et d'Aventure in 2002 . In the drug grotesque Spun (2002) she starred alongside Mickey Rourke , Brittany Murphy , John Leguizamo , Mena Suvari and Eric Roberts .
