Charlotte Franziska Dietrich (born September 24, 1935 in Schliersee ; † June 8, 2017 ) was a German artist . The focus of her work was on drawing and painting .

Charlotte Dietrich studied graphic design in Munich from 1954 to 1957 and graduated with a diploma. In 1966 she founded an art school in Munich, the Institute for Graphics, which she headed until 2006.

Since the 1950s, Charlotte Dietrich regularly took part in international exhibitions, including the Annuale della Arte Grafica in Ancona , 1968, the VI. Miedzynarodowe Grafiki Biennale in Cracow, 1979 and the 3rd International Cairo Biennale , for which she made the German contribution. Her artistic work was u. a. In 1994 she was awarded the Water Lily Prize of the City of Munich, and in 2016 she received the Art Prize of the Kunstverein Rosenheim.

Charlotte Dietrich was a member of several important committees. From 1985 to 1998 she was a federal specialist advisor for the fine arts of GEDOK , from 1989 to 1995 she was a member of the board of trustees of the Kunstfonds eV, and from 1999 to 2001 she was chairwoman of the protective association of visual artists in the IG Medien . Since 1985 she has been a member of the administrative board and award committee of the Social Work Foundation of VG Bild-Kunst, since 1991 a member of the advisory board of the Rosenheim Art Association, since 1993 a board member and jury member of the New Munich Artists' Cooperative for the Great Art Exhibition at Haus der Kunst, Munich, and since 2001 spokeswoman for the artistic advisory board of Galerie Markt Bruckmühl.
