License production and sales

The QQ is manufactured under license in Russia , Indonesia and Iran . It is also offered in South Africa and in several Asian countries, such as the Philippines , Singapore , Thailand and Vietnam . It is one of the cheapest cars in these markets. In Iran, the model is produced by Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing , where it is called MVM 110 .

Plagiarism allegation

The US automobile manufacturer General Motors accuses Chery of this model being a plagiarism of the Daewoo Matiz , which Chery had manufactured under license at times. Technically, the vehicles are very similar, so the doors and bonnet are interchangeable.
