The Chery Tiggo 5 is an SUV from the Chinese car manufacturer Chery Automobile , which is positioned above the Tiggo 3 or Tiggo 5X and below the Tiggo 7 .

history

The vehicle debuted at the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show and was launched on the Chinese market on November 28, 2013. The model was launched in 2014 as the Chery Grand Tiggo in some South American markets . The Tiggo 5 was revised in October 2015.

At the Bologna Motor Show in December 2016, the Italian car manufacturer DR Automobiles presented the DR 6, an almost identical variant of the Tiggo 5. It has been on sale in Italy since September 2017.

The Cowin X5 based on the Tiggo 5 has also been available in China since 2017 .

Technical specifications

Only a two -liter gasoline engine with 105 kW (143 hp) was available at the market launch, followed by a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine in 2015 .
