Under the name Childliners , British and Australian musicians came together in 1995 to record the Christmas single The Gift of Christmas .
The Gift of Christmas
The single stayed in the UK charts for 7 weeks and reached number 9.
The song was written by Tom Watkins, Anthony Mortimer of East 17 , Rob Kean, Tony Vickers and reggae singer Steven James Lewis, known as CJ Lewis . Kean and Vickers also acted as producers .
A maxi CD was released under the project name Childliner DJ's, which in addition to the single version also contains five remixes of the hit by Motiv 8 (Steve Rodway), Loveland , Matt Darey , The Beatmasters and Wand (Paul Kevin Masterson).
