The gmina wiejska Chodzież [ ˈxɔdzʲɛʃ ] is an independent rural municipality in Poland in the powiat Chodzież in the Greater Poland Voivodeship . Its seat is in the city of Chodzież ( German since 1878 Colmar , later Kolmar i. Posen ). The rural community, to which the town of Chodzież itself does not belong, has an area of 212.7 km², on which (as of June 30, 2019) 6066 people live.
geography
The rural community is located about 70 km north of Poznań in the Chodzieskie Lake District, a hilly, wooded moraine landscape. It surrounds the city of Chodzież on all sides.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the rural community belonged to the Piła Voivodeship .
