Sulli (2015)

Sulli (* 29. March 1994 as Choi Jin-ri in Busan , † 13 or 14. October 2019 in Seongnam ) was a South Korean actress and singer . From 2009 to 2015 she was a member of the girl group f (x) .

Life

Sulli began her acting career as a child actress in the television series Ballad of Seodong in the role of the young Princess Seonhwa of Silla. She later took part in a casting by SM Entertainment and was signed. In 2007 she played a leading role in the film Punch Lady .

In September 2009 she made her debut as a singer in the girl group f (x) , which she left in 2015. During this time she played a leading role in the television series To the Beautiful You , based on the manga Hanazakari no Kimitachi e . In 2014 she played a supporting role in the pirate adventure Pirates - The Seal of the King and a leading role in the comedy Fashion King .

In 2017 she took on the female lead in the thriller Real . From June 2019, she hosted the JTBC telecast Akpeul-ui Bam ( 악플 의 밤 , Night of the hate comments') in which it comes to cyberbullying goes. In the same month she released her first solo single Goblin .

On October 14, 2019, she was found dead in her Seongnam apartment after being unavailable by phone the night before. Sulli was slated to star in the second part of the Netflix series Persona . Five short films were planned with her. The production company Mystic Story announced that the first film by director Hwang Su-a had been completed, but that the second film was just being set in October. Due to the bereavement, Mystic Story announced that the future of the series is uncertain and no decision has yet been made on how it will continue.
