action

Raj and Priya get to know each other at a party and fall in love. Shortly afterwards they get married. The only thing missing for perfect happiness is a child together, and it doesn't take long before Priya becomes pregnant. However, an accident during a cricket game causes the young woman to miscarry. As if that weren't bad enough, it is determined that Priya cannot have any more children. But she cannot come to terms with this fate and persuades her husband to have a child carried to term by a surrogate mother. Adoption is out of the question for Priya, because she absolutely wants the child to be from Raj at least. After only the doctor and best friends are let into the plan, Raj is made aware of Madhubala. She is a young dancer in the red light district and, given the money offered, is ready to have the child for the young couple. The three of them fly to Switzerland together to carry out their project there. Once in Europe, the two women become good friends. Finally, Priya also succeeds in making Madhubala and Raj closer. Eventually Madhubala becomes pregnant too, and not only does a child grow up in her, her feelings for Raj keep growing too.

When Raj's family turns up unexpectedly, Priya has to pretend to be pregnant. Madhubala is introduced to the family as a good friend whose husband is allegedly away from home and she is therefore staying with Priya and Raj. The grandfather of the family insists that Priya should give birth to her child in India, and Madhubala should also come to India and live with them in the family home, in order to finally bear their child there.

Back in India, Madhubala is warmly welcomed by the family and enjoys family life never known before. She looks forward to the birth of her and Raj's child, and the feeling that she is raising the child herself becomes strong. She tries to escape from the house, but is stopped by Priya. Each of the two women now tries to win the child over. During a discussion there are major complications with Madhubala. In the hospital, Raj and Priya are told that only one of the two lives can be saved. And before more time passes, Priya makes the difference between life and death. Priya asks the doctor to save the mother. However, everything will turn out for the better and the child will be born healthy. Priya and Raj take the child and tell Raj's family that Madhubala had a stillbirth. After giving birth, Madhubala leaves the family with a promise not to go back to where she came from.
