Chrissy Metz
Christine Michelle "Chrissy" Metz (born September 29, 1980 in the USA ) is an American actress who is best known for her roles in the series American Horror Story and This Is Us .
life and career
Chrissy Metz grew up in Homestead , Florida . Her father served in the US Navy , which is why she spent part of her childhood in Japan before finally settling in Gainesville .
She has been an actress since 2005. After a few guest appearances, for example in All of Us and My Name Is Earl , she gained greater prominence primarily through the role of Ima Wiggles in American Horror Story , which she played from 2014 to 2015.
She has appeared as Kate Pearson in the drama series This Is Us since 2016 . For her performance in the first season she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy .
Personal
On January 5, 2008, she married the British journalist Martyn Eaden in Santa Barbara, California . After they separated in January 2013, Eaden filed for divorce in November 2014 due to "irreconcilable differences", which took place on December 11, 2015.
