Christian Alder (born September 3, 1978 in Wittmund ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

He took his first football steps at VfB Hederborn Salzkotten . In 1997/98 and 1999/2000 he played with Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga and in the 1998/99 season in the 2nd Bundesliga . From 2004 to 2006 he was under contract with the regional division SSV Jahn Regensburg .

After the SSV was relegated to the fourth-class Bayernliga, he moved to VfR Aalen in the newly created 3rd professional league . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he was named team captain. With the descent of VfR in the fourth-class regional league in 2009, his contract became ineffective.

He then joined the Cypriot first division club Anorthosis Famagusta , who was trained by Ernst Middendorp , whom Alder already knows from his time in Bielefeld and Augsburg. After Ernst Middendorp's departure, the club had no use for Alder. His contract was terminated just a month after he was signed. Since then he has been without a club.

Shortly before the end of the winter transfer period 2010, Alder then moved to the Lower Rhine division KFC Uerdingen 05 .

For the 2010/11 season, Alder was signed by the third division club Rot Weiss Ahlen . There he dissolved his contract in January 2011 because the club ran into financial difficulties and moved to the South African club Maritzburg United, which was coached by Ernst Middendorp . In October 2011 the Westphalian state division club SV Rödinghausen announced the commitment of Christian Alder.
