Christian Dütting

Christian Dütting (born December 20, 1862 in Osnabrück , † July 22, 1921 in Bad Nauheim ) was a German mining assessor and mine director.

Dütting graduated from high school in Carolinum in 1882 . He then received training in ore mines in Siegerland as well as in fiscal coal mines of the then mining inspection in Borgloh and the mine management in Saarbrücken . After these first practical experiences, Dütting studied from 1883 at the universities in Bonn and Heidelberg and finally at the Bergakademie in Berlin . On February 21, 1892 he was appointed Bergassessor.

Dütting initially worked for the Prussian mine administration, but switched to private Ruhr mining in 1899 . Between 1899 and 1905 he headed the Nordstern colliery in Gelsenkirchen-Horst . The Nordstern colliery developed extremely successfully under Dütting. From 1905 he was entrusted with the management of the Holland colliery in Wattenscheid . At the beginning of 1907 Christian Dütting was appointed general director and board member of Phönix AG for mining and smelting operations .
