Christian Fliegner (born December 11, 1976 in Bad Tölz ) is a German singing teacher , artistic director of the Tölzer boys' choir and opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Christian Fliegner's musical career began in 1984 with the Tölzer Knabenchor . His exceptional singing talent led to the fact that, in addition to his participation in the choir, he also worked as a boy soprano . For example, he sang the voice of the forest bird in Wagner's Siegfried under Michael Gielen and the role of the First Boy in Mozart's Magic Flute in Munich and Hamburg . At the Nice Opera he sang the role of Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande by Claude Debussy .

Christian Fliegner, who today is equally at home as a tenor in opera and oratorio, sang the role of 3rd Squire in Wagner's Parsifal under the direction of Claudio Abbado at the Salzburg Easter Festival in 2002 . In 2011 he sang Mozart's Exsultate, jubilate and the coronation mass as tenor under the direction of Enoch zu Guttenberg .

Since 1992 he has been working as a choir director and voice coach with the Tölzer Boys Choir.

Since September 2014 Christian Fliegner has been artistic director of the Tölzer Boys Choir together with Clemens Haudum .
