Christian Friedrich Kruger

Christian Friedrich Krüger ( May 15, 1753 in Schwerin ; † May 13, 1840 there ) was a German Minister of State .

Life

Christian Friedrich Krüger was the eldest son of the secret government councilor Dr. Karl Krüger (* unknown; † September 13, 1799) was born.

He attended the cathedral school (later the Gymnasium Fridericianum Schwerin ) in Schwerin and then studied law at the University of Bützow and the Georg-August University of Göttingen . After graduating, he became a lawyer and prosecutor in Schwerin Justizkanzlei enrolled .

In 1778 he became government and feudal tax with Duke Friedrich . In 1788 he was appointed court counselor and on May 19, 1790 he was promoted to the real court counselor and government tax office. On November 1, 1799 he received the youngest councilor in the state government and feudal chamber . On December 7, 1808, he was appointed to the Secret Government Council and a member of the Secret Council College. On December 10, 1827, the confirmation to the Real Secret Council followed.

On May 5, 1836, he was appointed district president and received the title of excellence . The following year, on May 6, 1837, he was appointed the first Minister of State in the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin , succeeding the late Leopold von Plessen .

Christian Friedrich Krüger married Regina Elisabeth (* August 6, 1755 - April 14, 1796), a daughter of Johann Christian Peitzner, on August 28, 1779. After the death of his first wife, he married CDM on December 5, 1797, a daughter of the secret chancellery Friedrich Wilhelm Christoph Siggelkow (1745-1807) from Schwerin. Both marriages remained childless.

From 1802 to 1836 he was the owner of the manor Groß Stieten .

Krüger bequeathed a significant part of his library to the grammar school library of the Fridericianum.

Honors

In 1813 he was supported by the Faculty of Law, University of Rostock to Dr. hc of the two rights in civil and canon law.

On May 5, 1836, he was awarded the honorary title of excellence.

Memberships

On July 1, 1801, he became an honorary member of the Mecklenburg Natural Research Society, which was founded in Rostock in 1800 .

On April 22nd he became a full member of the Association for Mecklenburg History and Archeology .
