Christian Imark (born January 29, 1982 ; resident in Himmelried ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

education and profession

Christian Imark completed an apprenticeship as a polymechanic with vocational diploma at Von Roll in Breitenbach . After completing his apprenticeship, he studied architecture with a specialization in management at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Burgdorf (BFH) in 2005 . He graduated in 2008 and worked again at Von Roll in Breitenbach in quality management for the production of winding wires. In 2010 he completed a CAS in Political Communication at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). In 2012, he moved to Von Roll as a field representative in sales, where he worked as Global Customer Manager until summer 2016. Christian Imark has been a partner and managing director of the event company Airboxx GmbH since 2013.

Christian Imark joined SVP Solothurn at the age of 16. In 2001, at the age of 19, Imark was elected to the Solothurn Cantonal Council when he was still an apprentice. This made him the youngest canton parliamentarian in the history of the canton of Solothurn.

From 2006 to 2011 he was Vice President of the SVP parliamentary group. In 2012, at the age of 29, he became the youngest Cantonal Council President in the history of the Canton of Solothurn. He was elected to the National Council in the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2015 . Since 2017 he has been President of the SVP Kanton Solothurn.
