Christian Järdler (born June 3, 1982 ) is a Swedish football player . The defender , who played several times in the Swedish U-21 team , played an unofficial international match for the Swedish national team in 2004 .

Career

Järdler began playing football at Ängelholms FF . In 2000 he switched to the youth team at Helsingborgs IF . In the season 2001 the moved -back on the first team, but at first did not play. In the following season he made his debut for the club in the Allsvenskan . There he was able to fight for a regular place and was in the starting line-up in 19 of the 26 season games. Through constant performance he played his way into the Swedish U-21 national team in the summer of 2003. On August 20, he made his debut in a 2-0 win over the Greek U-21 national team , when he replaced Mikael Antonsson in the 60th minute . However, he could not stay in the regular formation here and had to give way to Fredrik Stenman , Mikael Antonsson and Per Nilsson . Nevertheless, he was appointed to the senior national team the following spring. As part of the Carlsberg Cup , he was used in the game for third place against a Hong Kong league eleven. However, the 3-0 win was an unofficial international match. In the summer, the defender took part with the Swedish U21 national team in the U-21 European Championship , which ended in fourth.

After Järdler knew how to shine as a goalscorer in the 2004 season with five goals this season, he left Sweden in the summer of 2005 and moved to Turkey to Gençlerbirliği Ankara . There, however, he could not cope due to the way he played and criticized the fact that his strength - being able to take the offensive as a full-back - was not in demand there. So after half a year he returned to Northern Europe and signed a four-year contract with Malmö FF in January 2006 .

His start with his new employer failed when he suffered a facial fracture in a collision with his teammate Raoul Kouakou in April that year and had to take a long break. Therefore, he only came to 13 season appearances in his debut season. In the following two years, too, he could not finally prevail. After the club signed a new full-back with Ricardo Ferreira da Silva in early January 2009 , Järdler decided to leave the club and signed a contract with Halmstads BK . At his new club he established himself as a regular player and managed to stay on the side of Tim Sparv , Tomas Žvirgždauskas and Mikael Rosén with the team on the last non-relegation place. However, he also suffered from the consequences of the training accident at Malmö FF at his new employer and had to take a break due to pain. As a result, in January 2011 a career end was in the room. In the subsequent 2011 season he played 17 of the 30 season games, the club rose from bottom of the table in the second-rate Superettan .

Under coach Jens Gustafsson , who had taken over the club during the relegation season, Järdler was a regular in the second division. With 26 appearances this season, the defender was one of the guarantees that the team around Johnny Lundberg , Ryan Miller , Gudjón Baldvinsson and Karl-Johan Johnsson landed on the relegation pitch at the end of the second division season in 2012 and prevailed in the relegation games against GIF Sundsvall . In December of that year, the veteran extended his contract with HBK.
