Christian Jacob von Zwierlein

Christian Jacob Baron von Zwierlein (born December 4, 1737 in Wetzlar ; † August 10, 1793 in Langsdorf ) was a German lawyer and procurator at the Imperial Court of Wetzlar.

Life

The offspring of the Hessian noble family Zwierlein was the son of Johann Jacob von Zwierlein . After high school , Zwierlein first studied from 1753 to 1755 at the University of Gießen and then until 1758 at the University of Göttingen . There he received his doctorate under Georg Ludwig Böhmer . On May 31, 1758 he was admitted to the bar, on June 7, 1762 as a procurator and then on July 1, 1762 he was sworn in as procurator at the Imperial Court of Justice.

With the help of his father, he was able to take over several legal powers. In 1762 he took over the representation of Nassau-Dillenburg and in 1773 that of Anhalt-Bernburg . In 1775 he was appointed real agent of the Electorate of Hanover as well as a councilor . In 1776 he also took over the representation of the Prince-Bishop of Liège . This was followed by representations for Nassau-Orange , Schaumburg-Lippe , the Abbey of Quedlinburg and the cities of Bremen and Hildesheim .

On October 7, 1766 he married Christiane Friederike von Hopfer zu Geisenheim and Unter-Rixingen. The couple had two children:
