Christian Person (born May 25, 1594 in Rochlitz , † January 12, 1655 in Schwarzenberg ) was an Electoral Saxon civil servant. He was the bureaucrat of the Electoral Saxon office of Schwarzenberg .

Life

Christian Person was born in Rochlitz († 1613) in 1594 as the son of the Electoral Saxon personal and court physician of the same name. His grandfather, Magnus Person, was city treasurer in Wittenberg and previously mayor of the Scottish capital Edinburgh , who went to Wittenberg as a follower of Lutheran doctrine. His uncle was therefore the lawyer Ludwig Person .

Person studied in Altdorf and then worked as a clerk for the captain of the Vogtland , Bernhard von Starschädel , in Schweinsburg . With him he traveled in 1612 in the wake of the Saxon elector to the election of the emperor in Frankfurt.

The death of his parents and four of his siblings caused him to return to Rochlitz, where he worked as a clerk. In 1617 he went to Colditz , where he got the post of clerk there. In 1623 he moved to Kleinrössen near Falkenberg as administrator .
