Christian Schneider (born December 23, 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German musician , arranger , composer and music producer .

Christian Schneider masters several instruments and is therefore a multi-instrumentalist. This ability brought him contacts to well-known German jazz and rock stars from an early age . In addition to his main instrument, the saxophone , Schneider is also a master of guitar , keyboard , percussion , violin and a whole range of exotic wind instruments . He became known to a wider audience when he accompanied the Cologne rock group BAP on their keyboards tour in 1986 and played the saxophone on some pieces.

From 1982 to 1992, Schneider worked as a musician, arranger and co-producer in the band of Marius Müller-Westernhagen . In 1986 he was a guest musician on the ELO album “Balance Of Power”.

In 1986 he took the stage free of charge at the Anti-WAAhnsinns Festival against the planned Wackersdorf reprocessing plant .

From the 1980s to the 1990s, Schneider was one of the hottest and most sought-after studio musicians on the Frankfurt scene after studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and can be heard on over 450 national and international productions as a saxophonist, arranger and keyboardist.

Schneider worked as a studio and live musician, arranger and composer with Frank Farian , Andreas Vollenweider , Wim Wenders , Mike Figgis , Rio Reiser , Jeff Lynne , Edo Zanki , Stephan Remmler , Wolfgang Niedecken , BB King , Alphonse Mouzon , Randy Brecker , Albert Mangelsdorff , Huey Lewis , Michael Kamen , Diamanda Galas , Randy Crawford , Kurtis Blow , Grandmaster Flash , Pat Benatar , George Harrison, Marius Müller-Westernhagen and other national and international artists.

Since 1999 Schneider has been working as a composer and producer in his own recording studio in Frankfurt am Main, mainly for compositions, arrangements and sound design in the advertising music and film sector. Under the pseudonym "Chris Beat" Schneider had several top ten hits with the project "XXL-The Jazz Project" as a producer and arranger in Japan . Schneider is a full member of GEMA, a member of the Composers Club eV and the Art Directors Club Germany (ADC).
