Christina Eklund-Olsson (born January 19, 1970 in Charlottenberg ) is a former Swedish biathlete .

Christina Eklund is the twin sister of Catarina Eklund . She lives in Torsby and started for the local association Skidklubben Bore . Eklund began biathlon in 1986, first took part in an international biathlon championship as part of the 1991 World Championships in Lahti and finished 24th in the sprint. With Carolin Hilden , Inger Björkbom and her sister, she also achieved fifth place in the team race. In 1992 she was one of the first women to take part in biathlon competitions at the Winter Olympics in Albertville . The Swede was used in two of the three possible races. In the sprint she was 57th, in the relay race as a starting runner with Inger Björkbom and Mia Stadig sixth. At the interim Olympic World Championships in Borowetz in 1993 , she achieved her best international individual result in the sprint with ninth place. In addition, she was 31st of the individual. She finished seventh in the relay race with Eva-Karin Westin , Maria Schylander and her sister and ninth in the team race alongside Heléne Dahlberg , Eva-Karin Westin and her sister. In the 1992/93 season , Eklund also achieved her best World Cup result in ninth place in a sprint in Oberhof . Placements in the points remained a rarity in the course of her career. The last highlight of her career was taking part in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , where Eklund was again used in two races. In the sprint, the Swede was 67th, in the individual 58th. After the games, she ended her career.
