Ann-Marie Lillemor "Mia" Stadig-Bredberg (born March 18, 1966 in Sundborn ) is a former Swedish biathlete .

Mia Stadig, along with runners like Eva Korpela , Inger Björkbom , Sabine Karlsson and Anna Hermansson, belonged to the first generation of Swedish biathletes who, along with Soviet, Norwegian and partly also Finnish athletes, were world leaders from the introduction of the World Championships in 1984 to the first Winter Olympics in 1992 female starters were also allowed to participate in Albertville . She started for Dalregementets IF from Falun .

Stadig took part in the first ever biathlon world championships for the first time ever in 1985 in Egg am Etzel and was 16th in the sprint. The 1986 World Championships followed in her native Falun, where she was 14th of the individual. A year later , in Lahti , she won the silver medal with Inger Björkbom and Eva Korpela behind the Soviet Union's overpowering relay at the time. In the individual she was eleventh, in the sprint 18. In 1988 , in Chamonix, next to the Soviet relay, the Norwegians were ahead of the Swedes, who were third in the line-up of the previous year, Stadig was the final runner. The 1989 World Championships in Feistritz , where men and women held their world championships together for the first time , were less successful . Stadig was 17th in the sprint and 21st in the individual race. In the relay race, she came in seventh with Inger Björkbom and Sabine Karlsson after two successful years in the medal ranks. She placed one rank better with Karlsson, Anna Hermansson and Björkbom in the team competition, which was held for the first time. At the 1990 World Championships, which were held in Oslo for reasons of the weather, in addition to Minsk , she came in 18th place in the sprint and again missed a medal in the relay race with Björkbom and Hermansson on the starting position in fifth place. The world title fights in 1991 in Lahti became the last world championships for the Swede. In the singles she reached ninth place and in the singles 27th. Participating in the Olympic biathlon competitions for women in Albertville, which was held for the first time, was a career highlight. On the tracks of Les Saisies she was 14th in the sprint race, came 33rd in the individual and was sixth in the relay with Christina Eklund and Inger Björkbom. After the games, she ended her career.
