Christof Hamann

Christof Hamann (born July 4, 1966 in Überlingen ) is a German writer and Germanist.

Life

After two years mentally and physically disabled children in Philadelphia ( Pennsylvania had supervised), Christof Hamann began at the University of Freiburg / Breisgau , a study of German language and literature , sociology , philosophy and history , which he in Berlin continued. In 2001 he received his doctorate in philology from the University of Essen with a thesis on New York in contemporary German literature . He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Dortmund ; in addition, he contributed to various magazines. In 2003 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt , was a research assistant at the Chair of Modern German Literature at the University of Bamberg from 2007–2008 and then took up a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Wuppertal . He holds a professorship for modern German literary studies and literary didactics at the University of Cologne . Hamann lives with his wife in Cologne .

Since 2001, Christof Hamann has published primarily literary texts in addition to academic papers.

Christof Hamann received a. a. The following awards: 2001 a scholarship from the Foundation for Cultural Exchange Netherlands-Germany and a scholarship from the Art Foundation Baden-Württemberg , in 2002 a scholarship from the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop and the sponsorship award from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and in 2003 the debut award from the Buddenbrookhaus in Lübeck .
