Christoph von Hohenzollern-Haigerloch (* March 20, 1552 in Haigerloch ; † April 21, 1592 there ) was the first count of Hohenzollern-Haigerloch .

Christoph was the third surviving son of Count Karl I von Hohenzollern (1516–1576) from his marriage to Anna (1512–1579), daughter of Margrave Ernst von Baden-Durlach . Together with his brother Karl (1547-1606) studied Christoph in Freiburg and the French Bourges law .

In 1576 the parent company in Hohenzollern was divided into the Hechinger , Haigerlocher and Sigmaringer lines. The youngest son Christoph received the Haigerloch estate, acquired in 1497, with Imnau , Stetten and Enisheim Castle. His brother Eitel Friedrich got Hechingen, his other brother Karl Sigmaringen. At that time, Christoph's county comprised 10,000 inhabitants and was thus much smaller than that of his brothers. Christoph became the progenitor of the Haigerloch line, which died out again in 1634 with his younger son.

Christoph married Katharina († after 1608) in Sigmaringen in 1577, daughter of baron Christoph von Welsperg. He took great care of the administration of his land and soon began extensive construction work on his Haigerloch residence . For him, the medieval castle was not a contemporary representative facility. However, due to his untimely death, he did not live to see the completion. Together with his wife he founded the St. Trinity Church in Haigerloch .

After the death of Count Christoph Stanislaus von Nellenburg in 1591, whose brother was married to a Countess von Hohenzollern, Christoph received the rule of Wehrstein with castle and town as well as the village of Dettensee from the inheritance . A female candidate for the inheritance, Anna Maria von Wolfenstein, with the Bregenz citizens Fezenn a misalliance had made, was eliminated by Christopher and his brothers successfully writing to the chivalry and nobility of Swabia turned and Anna Maria discredited as a prostitute.
