Christoph Schlagbauer (born September 11, 1989 in Graz ) is an Austrian triathlete and national champion winter triathlon (2017).

Career

Christoph Schlagbauer has been running triathlons since 2011.

Ironman Hawaii 2013

In June 2013 he started the Ironman Austria for the first time on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running), he won the age group 18-24 and was thus qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii .
At the Ironman Hawaii in 2013, the then 24-year-old reached the finish line as the 61st athlete and took silver in his age group.

Schlagbauer has been a professional athlete since 2014 and is part of the ÖTRV National Winter Triathlon team .

In March 2017 she won the state champion title in the winter triathlon.
In August he was third at the state championship cross triathlon and in September in Deutschlandsberg also third at the duathlon state championship.

In May 2018 Christoph Schlagbauer won the Apfelland Triathlon in the middle distance . In February 2019, the then 29-year-old finished in Italy as the second best Austrian in 24th place at the World Championship Winter Triathlon (8 km running, 12 km MTB and 10.5 km cross-country skiing).

He has been part of the new OMNi-BiOTiC POWER triathlon team since 2020. In July 2020 he started as the only solo athlete in the “hunting race” in Podersdorf .

Christoph Schlagbauer lives in Haselbach near Weiz .
