Christoph Titz (* 14. November 1967 in Eschweiler ) is a German jazz - trumpet , plays a mix of jazz, Latin, electronic and pop. The trumpeter, who grew up in Aachen and now lives and works in Berlin, has been playing jazz since his beginnings in the early 1990s.

Act

Titz studied at the universities of Maastricht and Hilversum and made his debut with the band “Scetches”. He then worked as a studio and live musician with Marla Glen , Helmut Zerlett ( Harald Schmidt Show ), Manfred Leuchter band Bonefunk, Hermosa , Art af Oryx , Reinhard Mey , Sarah Connor , the Frank Popp Ensemble , with Kathrin Lemke , with the band Brings and Leon Gurvitch . He also played in the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin

In 2004 he released his first own album Magic , followed by the albums When I love (2007), Here & Now (2010), Live @ A-Trane / Berlin (2012) and Frobeat (2020).

At the invitation of the Goethe Institute, Titz performed as a member of the Manfred Leuchter Band in Cuba, India, the Middle East and Morocco. In 2006 & 2007 he played at the »Festiwal Jazz Na Starowce« in Warsaw and from then on at numerous festivals and clubs in Poland.
