biography
Christoph and Lollo were both born in 1977 and got to know each other during their school days. They are known for their "ski jumping songs". Most of their repertoire consists of this genre they invented . The lyrics tell of the fictional problems and preferences of real, more or less well-known ski jumpers . For example, Birger Ruud , Horst Bulau , Mika Laitinen , František Jež , Jaroslav Sakala , Josef Brzuchanski , Janne Väätäinen , Eddie Edwards and Kazuyoshi Funaki were each honored with their own song.
In 1995 they recorded their first song (Lebkuchenherz) on what is known as an open recording day. The song was discovered by Stermann and Grissemann and played on April 18, 1995 in their radio show Salon Helga . Then more songs were recorded in the ORF broadcasting house, which were played on FM4 .
In 1999 Christoph Drexler and Lollo Pichler recorded their first album (ski jumping songs) . Numerous appearances and two more ski jumping song albums followed.
In 2005 they recorded their fourth album Nonetheless . This was the first CD that (with the exception of Ari-Pekka Nikkola on the moguls and a remix of it) is not about ski jumpers. With the song I hate people on television by Nevertheless , they took part in the 2005 protest song contest and took second place.
On October 12, 2007 the album Hitler, Huhn und Hölle! . Again, the album is not about ski jumpers, but, like the previous track, contains critical texts that are humorously described.
In December 2007 Christoph & Lollo took part in the cabaret competition in the Scharfrichterhaus in Passau and won the third prize, the small executioner's ax .
In 2008, with the song Probably no pleasure , they contributed to the alternative EM sampler Dear Be a Loser from LasVegas Records in cooperation with FM4 and the football magazine Ballesterer .
In 2009 Christoph & Lollo published the song Karl-Heinz and sang the so-called Causa Grasser around the former Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser .
On February 25, 2011, the album Sorry. , which was presented in a radio interview on Radio ORANGE 94.0 (broadcast: JazzWorkshop).
The album "Mitten ins Hirn", released in 2018, deals with the state of the planet earth and the conspiracy theories there. The song ´´See it on google´´ was published on youtube.
In ORF they were in 2012 as part of the Hyundai Cabaret Days and 2016 as part of cabaret in the tower to see.
Concerts
At concerts, the musicians not only play their program, but also joke and discuss extensively between the performances on topics such as banks, swans and other unimportant topics. In the program, which is by no means well thought out, but almost exclusively spontaneous, there are also cover versions of other bands.
The concert usually ends with the song Funaki , which has no fixed lyrics, but rather individual verses that are individually selected. Only the beginning and the end are always the same. Because of its popularity with fans, the performance usually lasts over ten minutes. The sung ski jumper is (ironically) praised in the highest tones and almost adored.
