Christophe Kalfayan (born May 26, 1969 in Antibes , Alpes-Maritimes department ) is a former French swimmer .

Life

Christophe Kalfayan celebrated his greatest sporting successes at the European Championships in Sheffield in 1993 and in Vienna in 1995 , where he won silver in the 50 m freestyle. Both times he had to admit defeat to Alexander Popov . At the European Championships in 1989 in Bonn , he had already won silver with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay and in 1991 in Athens with the layer relay.

At the Mediterranean Games in Athens in 1991 Kalfayan won the 100 m freestyle. In 1993 he was able to repeat this success at the Mediterranean Games held in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in Narbonne and add another gold medal over the 50 m distance.
