Christophe Ville (born June 15, 1963 in Dijon ) is a former French ice hockey player .

Career

Christophe Ville began his career as an ice hockey player at the Sporting Hockey Club Saint Gervais , for whose professional team he was active from 1980 to 1984 in the Nationale A , the top French division. In the 1980/81 season he was awarded the Trophée Jean-Pierre Graff as the league's rookie of the year . In 1983 and 1984 he was awarded the Trophée Albert Hassler as the best French player. In the summer of 1986, the center moved within the top French division to the Français Volants , with whom he won the French championship in 1989 . For the 1990/91 season he was obliged by the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble , with whom he was instant champion. In the same season he was again awarded the Trophée Albert Hassler. From 1991 to 1993 he played for the Chamonix Hockey Club , receiving the Albert Hassler Trophy for the fourth and last time in 1992.

The 1993/94 season spent Ville at AC Milan in the Italian Serie A . From 1994 to 1996 he played again for Chamonix in France. He spent most of the 1996/97 season at HC Courmaosta in the Italian A2 series , but joined his ex-club from Grenoble for the playoffs. In the 1997/98 season he ran again for Chamonix, for which he scored 22 scorer points in 31 games, including two goals. He then ended his career at the age of 35. In 2011 he was honored with induction into the French Hockey Hall of Fame.

International

For France , Ville took part in the B World Championships in 1987 , 1989 , 1990 and 1991 and the A World Championships in 1992 , 1993 , 1994 , 1995 and 1996 . He was also in his country's squad at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , 1992 in Albertville and 1994 in Lillehammer .
