Christopher Daniel Barnes (* 7. November 1972 in Portland , Maine ), also known as CD Barnes and CB Barnes is known, is a US -American actor and spokesman .

life and career

Barnes is the son of Steve Barnes and Carol Nixons. He grew up in Portland with his two siblings Lisa and Steve; his sister is also an actress. At the age of eight, he made appearances as a child model in New York City and played in commercials .

He made his television debut in 1984 in the film An Agentin Too Many (English American Dreamer ) at the side of Tom Conti and Jobeth Williams . At the age of 13 years, his family moved to California and Barnes won the role of Scott Hayden in the produced from 1986 to 1987 22-part science fiction - television series The Man from Another Planet (. English Starman ), alongside Robert Hays . The series is based on the movie of the same name with Jeff Bridges .

Numerous supporting roles in television series and television films followed, including in the sitcoms Day by Day as Ross Harper and Malcolm & Eddie , in which he embodied the character of Tim.

In 1995 and 1996 he played the role of Greg Brady in The Brady Family and its sequel, The Brady Family 2 . In 1997 he was nominated for an MTV Movie Award together with Christine Taylor .

In the English-speaking world, Barnes is best known for his speaking work; he dubbed numerous cartoon characters. These include the character of Prince Eric from the Disney film Arielle, the Mermaid (1989); the producers chose Barnes because, despite being 16 at the time, he sounded much older. He also gave the character his voice in the video game Kingdom Hearts II (Square Enix / Disney) based on the film . From 1994 to 1998 he also voiced the title character Spider-Man in the New Spider-Man animation series.

As a teenager, Barnes was the national youth spokesman for the environmental protection organization Greenpeace in the USA. In 2004 Barnes received his bachelor's degree and in 2009 he received his master's degree. He has been married to Rebecca Guyadeen since 2012.
