Christopher Scarabosio
Christopher W. Scarabosio (born July 30, 1966 in San Francisco , California ) is an American sound engineer .
Life
Scarabosio grew up in San Francisco , studied at San Francisco State University and, after graduating in the late 1980s, initially worked for a year on the clay animation series Gumby Adventures . This was followed by an internship at Skywalker Sound , where he has been working ever since. His first work for Skywalker Sound was the television series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones , for which he was awarded the Primetime Emmy in 1993. From 1994 he was also active in feature films, his debut was the crime comedy Radioland Murders - Wahnsinn broadcast by Mel Smith . Through his work at Skywalker Sound, he participated in numerous projects of George Lucas involved, including several Indiana Jones -Fernsehfilme and the feature film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull , as well as its Star Wars - franchise . Scarabosio was involved in Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy between 1999 and 2005, worked on the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and also worked on the Star Wars films produced by Disney . In Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace , Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story , he also had small roles as a voice actor .
In 2008 Scarabosio was nominated for the first Oscar in the category Best Sound for There Will Be Blood . He was also nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Sound category for the film . In 2015, the BAFTA Film Award nomination for Grand Budapest Hotel followed . In 2016 he was nominated a second time for an Oscar and a third time for the BAFTA Film Award for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, he has not yet won any of these awards.
