Chucho Rodríguez

Jesús "Chucho" Rodríguez Ramírez (born July 11, 1918 in Chihuahua , † February 6, 1991 ) was a Mexican composer, arranger, pianist and orchestra leader.

Rodríguez studied piano, double bass, violin, organ and guitar at the Escuela Libre de Música in Mexico City and was then a member of various music groups. His success as a composer began in 1942 with the song Cosas del ayer (with Ramón Marquéz ), which was interpreted by Genaro Salinas and the group Son Clave de Oro at XEW and recorded by Chucho Martínez Gil on RCA Records .

As an arranger, pianist and orchestral conductor, he worked with singers such as Mario Alberto Rodríguez , Fernando Fernández , Lupita Ferrer , Lupita Palomera , Julio Jaramillo , María Victoria , Felipe Pirela , Blanca Rosa Gil , Johnny Albino , Olga Guillot , Virginia López , Toña la Negra and María Luisa Landín together. He played and composed music for more than 70 films, including songs such as Nube negra , Besos de fuego , Embrujo , Qué más puedo pedir , Quiéreme quiéreme and No te vayas .
