Cisiec is a village with a Schulzenamt of the municipality Węgierska Górka in the Powiat Żywiecki of the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .
geography
The place is on the right bank of the river Soła between the Saybuscher Beskids ( Beskid Żywiecki ) in the east and Silesian Beskids ( Beskid Śląski ) in the west on the way between Węgierska Górka (in the north) and Milówka (in the south).
history
Since 1467 the rule of Saybusch belonged to the noble family Komorowski, the settlement action also ran along the trade route from Saybusch to Čadca . The place was founded by Wallachians around the 16th century , but was more rural.
During the first partition of Poland in 1772, Cisiec became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804).
In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Cisiec came to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . It then belonged to the district of Saybusch in the administrative district of Katowice in the province of Silesia (since 1941 province of Upper Silesia ).
A famous episode in the history of the village occurred in November 1972 when an illegal church was built by just one night.
From 1975 to 1998 Cisiec was part of the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .

The Droga ekspresowa S69 (partly under construction) Bielsko-Biała –Żywiec– Zwardoń (PL / SK) and the Katowice –Zwardoń (PL / SK) railway runs through Cisiec .
