The City Carré Magdeburg is a shopping center and office building in Magdeburg's old town , the center of the city. Around 25,000 people visit the center every day.

The City Carré is located in the center of Magdeburg, directly opposite the main train station and on Ernst-Reuter-Allee, as well as near the central bus station and the Magdeburger Ring . It was created on a green area that was laid out there after the ruins were removed after World War II. There are also two local transport stops right next to the building. The building's own parking garage below the zero level, with more than 1,700 parking spaces, can be reached via Ernst-Reuter-Allee and Bahnhofstrasse . Above ground there are over 300 bicycle parking spaces with modern leaning bars in the direct vicinity of the building .

The building complex was opened in October 1997. The City-Carré is spread over six buildings on an area of 30,000 m². Of the total area of 105,000 m², 80,000 m² is office space and 25,000 m² is retail space with more than 50 shops.
Shops and businesses
The largest and most important shops in City-Carré include the electronics store Medimax , the Wöhrl fashion house , Kaufland and the Spiel Max toy store . There are also other cafes, snack bars, clothing stores, service providers, banks and jewelers. There is also a branch of the CinemaxX cinema chain with modern 3D technology in the building complex . It is Magdeburg's largest cinema.
The companies represented in the building complex include ÖSA , the state road construction authority , the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of the State of Saxony-Anhalt , SWM , the State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation Saxony-Anhalt / Geo Competence Center, the Magdeburg job center and Bosch Communication center .
