Clement Cailleau

Clément Cailleau CSSp (born July 27, 1923 in Nueil-sur-Layon , Maine-et-Loire , † July 21, 2011 in Chevilly-Larue , Île-de-France ) was a French religious and apostolic prefect of Tambacounda .

Life

Clément Cailleau joined the religious community of Spiritans and made perpetual profession on September 8, 1947 in Cellule in Auvergne . He received in the October 1, 1951 Chevilly (Loiret) the ordination . He was appointed by his order to the mission to Senegal and was vicar in Fatick from 1951/52 and from 1952 to 1957 on the Île de Fadiouth , there also from 1957 to 1960 pastor. In the former mission station Ngazobil , south of Dakar, he was the rectorate of the seminary from 1969 to 1965. From 1965 to 1970 he was dean in Dakar .

Pope Paul VI appointed him with the establishment of the Tambacounda Prefecture on August 13, 1970 as Apostolic Prefect of Tambacounda in Senegal . On April 24, 1986 he resigned from his position and took over a pastorate in Peyruis in Provence, France . In 1989 he moved to Le Dorat . He spent his retirement in Chevilly-Larue since 2001 .
