Jean-Noël Diouf

Jean-Noël Diouf (born October 1, 1946 in Diohine , Senegal ) is a Senegalese clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Tambacounda .

Life

Jean-Noël Diouf received on 3 April 1972, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 17, 1989, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tambacounda. The Archbishop of Dakar , Hyacinthe Cardinal Thiandoum , donated him episcopal ordination on November 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Kaolack , Théodore-Adrien Sarr , and the Bishop of Saint-Louis du Sénégal , Pierre Sagna CSSp .

In 2005, Jean-Noël Diouf was also elected chairman of the Bishops' Conference of Senegal, Guinea-Bissau , Cape Verde and Mauritania .

Pope Francis resigned from office on August 5, 2017.
