Claas-Hinrich Lammers

Claas-Hinrich Lammers (* 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German psychiatrist and psychotherapist . As the medical director of the psychiatric clinics and chief physician of the I. and III. Clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy in the Asklepios Clinic North in Ochsenzoll (Hamburg-Langenhorn).

Professional and academic career

After high school and community service in Hamburg, Lammers studied medicine in Homburg and Hamburg from 1983 to 1990 and received his doctorate in psychiatry in 1990 . He then worked as an assistant doctor at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich and at the University Hospitals in Marburg and Lübeck . He completed research stays in Paris (Center Paul Broca, l'INSERM; 1992–1994) and Bethesda, USA (National Institute of Neurological Diseases, 1996–1999), during which he dealt with the neurobiology of dopamine and neuromodulators. He has been a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy since 2001 . As a senior physician, he worked at the Lübeck University Hospital and at the Charité Berlin. In 2003 he completed his habilitation in psychiatry at the Charité. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of Lübeck since 2010 and adjunct professor at the Semmelweis University in Budapest since 2013 . Since 2006 he has been medical director and chief physician of the I. Clinic for Affective Diseases and the III. Clinic for acute psychiatry and psychosis in the Asklepios Clinic North - Ochsenzoll. Lammers completed advanced training in behavior therapy , hypnotherapy , EMDR , trauma therapy, VT supervision and emotion-focused therapy . His main research interests are emotion-focused approaches in psychotherapy and the psychotherapeutic treatment of personality disorders .
