Claude Ruey

Claude Ruey (born November 29, 1949 in Gland ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

The doctor of law and attorney was a member of the legislature of the Nyon municipality from 1973 to 1990 and a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud between 1974 and 1990 . In 1990 he was elected to the State Council of the Canton of Vaud, of which he was a member until 2002. From the 1999 elections until the end of 2011 he had a seat on the National Council . From 2002 to March 2008 he was President of the Liberal Party of Switzerland .

Ruey is a member of various boards of trustees, including the Foundation of Chillon Castle , HEKS and the Swiss Scout Foundation .

Ruey is married and has two grown children.
