Claudia Nagel

Claudia Nagel (born October 18, 1965 in Wermelskirchen ) is a German economist , organizational psychologist , management consultant and author .

Life

After an apprenticeship in a bank, Claudia Nagel studied business administration in Cologne and at the HEC in France with a focus on financing , procurement and product studies , international management and business psychology . In her doctorate with Gerd Wiendieck, she examined the importance of organizational culture with the help of qualitative research methodology.

After completing her doctorate, she led the Institute for Economic and Social Ethics at the University of Rostock together with a theological director and taught at the University of Wismar . This was followed by national and international activities in management consulting and in the banking and financial services sector, until she set up her own consulting company in 2005. At the same time, she obtained her postgraduate diploma as a Jungian psychoanalyst at the International School for Analytical Psychology, Zurich, in 2008.

She has been a member of ISPSO since 2005 (temporarily on the board), the International Advisory Board of the Opus Journal, London, and the VdU (temporarily President for Hesse). She also does volunteer work for culture and music and in business, she was ten years commercial judge at the district court of Frankfurt am Main and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Global Female Leaders Summit .

After the earthquake in Nepal in April and May 2015, she founded the non-profit organization Rebuild Nepal , which she chairs and with which she actively organizes help for earthquake victims in Nepal, especially in Sindhupalchok .

At the headquarters of her company in Offenbach am Main , the Lili Temple , she plans events with an artistic character. The city also uses the rooms for cultural events.

Work and research

Nagel dedicates her scientific and practical work to psychodynamic relationships at the top level of corporate management. Her topics are psychodynamics and psychology of leadership , strategy and change / transformation. This also includes psychological aspects of digital transformation and digital strategy .

After her own management and consulting experience in companies such as Credit Suisse , Goldman Sachs and Gemini Consulting , she was trained as a psychoanalyst according to CG Jung . By integrating psychodynamic and psychotherapeutic insights into change management , she initially researched psychodynamic change management and developed it further for consulting. She designed her own approach to psychodynamic strategy development. Her approach to behavioral strategy focuses on unconscious emotional and psychodynamic processes that influence the thinking of the individual and a management team.

In addition to her research activities, Claudia Nagel gave lectures and colloquia at universities such as the EBS University for Economics and Law and the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg on the subject of behavioral strategy. She is also a visiting professor at the Chair of Finance at Zeppelin University and was appointed visiting professor at the Business School of the University of Hull in March 2016 .
