Claudia Puetz

Claudia Puetz (born May 14, 1958 in the Rhineland) is a German screenwriter , writer and publisher of a multimedia artist magazine.

Claudia Puetz grew up in Düren on the northern edge of the Eifel and attended a nuns' school there. She then worked for seven years in the operations department of Deutsche Bahn AG. After graduating from secondary school, she studied German , philosophy and psychology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn. From 1989 to 1990 she was a scholarship holder of the 1st script workshop at the HFF Munich, her mentor was the scriptwriter and film producer Peter Märthesheimer.

She has been writing scripts for German television stations since 1996, and from 2001 also for Swiss television . Together with the authors Christa Capaul, Katja Früh and Daniel Howald, she developed fictional German-Swiss series formats such as Lüthi & Blanc and Tag & Nacht . From 2012 to 2017 she wrote the crime series Der Bestatter together with Dominik Bernet , which became a hit with the public and was the first Swiss series to be seen on Netflix. The series was also marketed internationally and broadcast in Europe, the United States and Japan.

In the 1990s, Claudia Puetz published short prose and experimental poetry at Corvinus Presse, Berlin . The Rowohlt Verlag, Reinbek published her novel Vom other Stern , a literary variant of the feature film script The Wedding Present .

From 1986 to 2007 she was the editor of the artist magazine PIPS - magazine for UnZeitgeist, UnKomMerz and object literature . Around 1000 authors and visual artists from around the world took part in the original graphic artist edition, which was optionally available in bags, cardboard boxes or wooden boxes. With the Cologne artist Hans-Jörg Tauchert she founded the Staufreunde neV in 1991/92 and published Das kleine Staupaket as a non-listed CO 2 certificate (climate protection project) in Krash Verlag .

Claudia Puetz lives in Bonn and Valencia.
