Claudine Merlin

Claudine Merlin (born April 22, 1929 - November 2014 ) was a French film editor .

Life

After Claudine Merlin in 1956 and 1959, already with two short documentaries by Alain Resnais , all memory of the world and Le chant du Styrene for the cut was responsible, it was for the drama Muriel, or The Time of Return for the Editor committed. Merlin has since been known mainly for working with French directors Bertrand Blier , Josiane Balasko and André Téchiné . The collaboration with Blier in particular has received national and international nominations and film awards. She was awarded a César nomination for Best Editing for the films The Murderer Meet at the Buffet , Evening Suit , Story of a Smile and Thank Life , while she won her only César editing for Bliers Too Beautiful for You . She also received a César nomination for best editing for Téchinés The Brontë and Barocco sisters .
