César 1992
The 17th Césars award ceremony took place on February 22, 1992 in the Palais des congrès de Paris . Actress Michèle Morgan , who also received an honorary award, was president of the awards ceremony . The award ceremony, hosted by Frédéric Mitterrand , was broadcast by the public television channel Antenne 2, now France 2 .
Alain Corneau's historical film The Seventh String won the most Césars . With a total of eleven nominations, the film prevailed against the competition in seven categories, including Best Film and Best Director. The film comedy Delicatessen received four César awards from ten nominations. The big loser of the evening was Maurice Pialat's film Van Gogh , which was nominated in ten categories and for which only Jacques Dutronc was awarded as Best Actor.
