Vincent Arnardi

Vincent Arnardi (born July 10, 1957 in Hyères , Département Var ) is a French sound engineer .

Life

Arnardi began his career in the late 1970s. He made his film debut in François Truffaut's drama The Green Room . He subsequently worked on numerous, mostly French, film productions, directed by Alain Delon , Jean-Pierre Mocky and Jacques Rouffio , among others . In 1991 he worked on the feature film debut of directors Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro , Delicatessen . He later also worked on their hit films The City of Lost Children and The Fabulous World of Amélie . He also worked on the first and last part of the three-color trilogy by Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowskis , Three Colors: Blue and Three Colors: Red .

2002 Arnardi was for Amélie together with Guillaume Leriche and Jean Umansky for the Oscar in the category Best Sound nominated. His other awards include the 1993 Cannes Film Festival Technology Prize for Mazeppa , the César for Best Sound for Taxi (1999) and the Silver Ariel for Días de Gracia (2012).

In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
