Claus-Heinrich Daub

Claus-Heinrich Daub (born June 26, 1969 in Freiburg) is a German sociologist . He is Professor of Marketing and Management at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, where he is deputy. Head of the Institute for Corporate Management. He is also a private lecturer at the University of Basel .

Life

Daub grew in the southern Baden Schopfheim and studied after graduating from the local Theodor-Heuss-school sociology , philosophy , folklore , political and administrative sciences at the Universities of Konstanz , Freiburg / Bg. and Basel (1990-1994). In 1996 he received his PhD with a thesis on intimate systems in sociology phil. did his doctorate and habilitation in 2005 with a thesis on the role of multinational companies in the process of sustainable development . From 1985 to 1995 he worked as a journalist in Germany and Switzerland (including Basler Zeitung , Badische Zeitung ), from 1995 to 1999 he was an assistant at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Basel, and from 1996 to 2000 he was Head of Marketing and Communication at European Center for Economic Research and Strategy Consulting , Prognos . In November 1999 he was appointed to a professorship for marketing and management at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, where he was head of the competence focus sustainable management from 2006 to 2014 and has been deputy head of the institute for corporate management since 2014. In addition, he is a private lecturer at the University of Basel, and visiting professor at various European universities and colleges Limerick ( Ireland ), Galway (Ireland), Västerås ( Sweden ), Primorska ( Slovenia ), Friborg (Switzerland). In addition to his activities in higher education, he is President of the Society for Science Journalism (gesowip), presides the jury of the Swiss sustainability award "prix.eco", is a board member of the Cleantech Agency Switzerland (ACT) and a member of the scientific advisory board of the business association swisscleantech.
