Claus Vaske

Claus Vaske (born December 11, 1965 in Ankum ) is a German comedy writer, copywriter and writer.

Life

Claus Vaske grew up in Ankum, Lower Saxony . After graduating from high school in Bersenbrück , he studied Medieval and Modern History , Journalism and Communication Studies and Political Science at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . He wrote his master's thesis on West German policy in Germany in the 1950s. During his studies he attended his first seminars on screenwriting. In 1991 he sat in on the NDR television game for six months as a literary scholarship holder from the Hamburg cultural authority .

Vaske has been working as a comedy and gag writer for television since 1995, initially as a permanent member of the Harald Schmidt Show team . Scripts for various television series and sitcoms followed . As headwriter, he oversaw and wrote the commercials for Expo 2000 in Hanover with Verona Feldbusch and Sir Peter Ustinov . Since then he has also worked as a copywriter and ghostwriter.

In 2015, CES Las Vegas opened with the comedy clip Robots , for which Vaske wrote the script. Robots was awarded the Golden Award of Montreux in May 2016 .

His debut novel Not Deadly was the highest newcomer in the Spiegel paperback bestseller list in July 2011 . Like its successor Die Monroe in mir, it was published as a paperback by S. Fischer Verlag , his third novel, Gustaf. Alter Schwede was published by HarperCollins in February 2017 . The audio book speaks Hella out of her senses .

Claus Vaske has lived in Bonn since 1996 .
