Clementine is a free audio player for Linux , macOS and Windows . It is a spin-off of the Amarok program in version 1.4.10. The reason was the unsatisfactory development of version 2 of Amarok in the opinion of the authors. After porting it to KDE platform 4, numerous functions were no longer available.
overview
Clementine has been ported to Qt 4 and can therefore be installed independently of KDE libraries , so it is no longer a KDE application. Furthermore, the provision for the three important desktop operating systems is possible without great effort. The functionality and operation of the original Amarok 1.4.x were largely adopted and further developed.
Since its inception, Clementine has been downloaded very often and has been included in the build services of major distributions, including Packman, because of the high level of development activity and continuity. It is part of the standard installation of the Sabayon Linux distribution and the Pardus distribution developed by the Turkish government for authorities . In addition to the standard playback program Rhythmbox , Clementine is also recommended for Gnome .
