Collmen has been a district of the city of Colditz in the Leipzig district in Saxony since 2011 , previously Collmen was a district of Zschadraß .

Location and accessibility

Collmen is about 6 km northeast of the city of Colditz and is directly connected to it via the B 176 and S44.

history

Is called the first time Collmen 1214 in a document of the Bishop of Meissen for Klosterbuch in which he the transfer of the parish ( parochia ) Leisnig confirmed to its equipment the capella Chulme belonged.

Around 1260 the Bishop of Meissen confirmed a change in the Sprengel. At the request of the brothers Heinrich and Heinrich de Lubewiz , and the farmers in Commichau, who belonged to the parish of the church in Leisnig in front of the castle, "because of the distance and especially because of the neglect of the sick", the mentioned village was transferred to the parish in Collmen instructed. Collmen had become a parish church, and apart from Commichau, the villages of Zschirla, Skoplau and Kaltenborn were also assigned.
