Tanndorf has been a district of the city of Colditz on the right bank of the Freiberg Mulde in the Leipzig district in Saxony since 2011 , previously the place was a district of Zschadraß .

Location and accessibility

Tanndorf is approx. 10 km northeast of the city of Colditz and can be reached via the B 107 and the K8340. The Leipzig-Döbeln railway line has a stop in Tanndorf.

history

Tanndorf was first mentioned as a settlement in documents in 1340 under the name Thamendorfh . With its 170 inhabitants Tanndorf is one of the medium-sized districts of the city of Colditz.

On January 1, 1952, the previously independent communities Erlin and Podelwitz were incorporated.
