Meuselwitz has been a district of the city of Colditz in the Leipzig district in Saxony since 2011 , previously the place was a district of Zschadraß .

Meuselwitz is about 5 km east of the city of Colditz and is connected to it via the S44.

history

Meuselwitz was first mentioned as a settlement in documents in 1297 under the name Mizletitz .

In 1548, the Buch zu Meuselwitz monastery inheritance book names "8 possessed men, including 6 horse men, who are all loanable and interestable to the Buch monastery." With 13½ hooves. The timing of the transfer is unknown. The higher court belonged to the office of Colditz, the inheritance court to the office of Kloster Buch.

The place was parish to Seifersdorf .

On January 1, 1952, Meuselwitz was incorporated into Bockwitz.
